lol at the days when I used to take melatonin to fall asleep

Hi Hi Cutie pies, just your gal Sister Dimond here, still loving life in West Palm, and still amazed everyday that I am a missionary and really here.  It’s still surreal.  Everyday I just realize even more why this is MY mission, and that I am exactly where I need to be.  I just love it here.

Well this week has been great. I think I am just going to start doing this bullet point thing, ya? (:

-Started the week of strong having a good ol’ allergic reaction, to some unknown substance.  Lol!  It’s just too funny because I had been telling my companion Sister Bingham about all my good allergic reactions before the mission and that she would DIE if she saw the pictures of my face, and then that night as we were planning and praying, my throat started getting all weird, and I ran to the bathroom and my eyes were getting all puffy and ET looking, and I knew it was happening.  Hahahah.  But the work must go on.  I woke up the next morning and looked ridiculous, but just put on some glasses and headed out (:  I’m sure people were really interested in the gospel at that point, lol.

- Jeremy Guthrie, a player for the Washington Nations baseball team, has been coming to my ward the last few weeks as they are here for their spring training, and so we have been talking, and we ended up figuring out that we are totally in the same stake back at home. Anyways, this last Sunday when we were talking, he asked me when our preparation days were and he said he wanted to hook me up with some tickets for the next day.  We were unsure if we were going to be able to go, but we gave cute President Richardson a quick call and he said "BY ALL MEANS, GIDDY UP go and have fun" "the only requirement is that I need to see some pictures (:"  So he got me and all our district tickets to his game against the Yankees.  So on Monday we got to go to the stadium, which is like 3 minutes from our house, and watched the game!  It was SO FUN!  But it was kind of the weirdest thing ever.  We felt like real people again.  He gave us a tour of he stadium, and even came back to church yesterday and gave sister Bingham and I balls and hats.  He is literally the nicest man ever.

- It’s getting hot here and I am currently getting so nervous for what is about to come. lol.   I am a summer gal by all means, but the other day it was so hot, and we got home and I felt like I had just spent an entire day at the beach and was so sun drained.  Oh here we go!  This is gonna be fun!  But you know you can’t count on the weather here, because the next day was literally just the biggest rainstorm.  We got absolutely DUMPED on.  We ran from our car to our members house across the street to go have dinner, and in a matter of 3 seconds we look like we had just jumped into a pool. I LOVED IT hahah!  Just memories.  We just couldn't stop laughing.  We hit up the most Mexican McDonalds you have ever seen after, to go dry ourselves off.  I just love Florida.  The weather and the people, heck you just never know what you are going to get here.

- Well I just absolutely love Sister Bingham, because there were a few days that literally all our plans would fall through and that NOBODY would listen to us, but we just always stay so positive and happy together and we just have so much fun. Everyday we find out how we are even more like the same person.  Sketch.  Anywho she is also a killer singer, which is just perfect for me, cuz anyone that really knows me knows that I LOVE music and to sing, but am straight up tone def.  So dad you are going to be so proud; Sister Bingham and I each day in the car learn a hymn in Spanish and then she’s teaching me how to harmonize!!  So I can actually use my man voice for good!  We have along way to go, but ay, you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes to keep yourself sane. (:

- Well we have really been trying to practice how we teach this last week to be better and teach more by the Spirit, and man, all our role playing must have done us some good, because this week after we taught this family the Restoration, they tried to hand us a wad of cash. LOL.  THAT WAS A FIRST.  I mean holler thank you, but instead of handing us money, go do yourself some real good and GO GET BAPTIZED.  Haha anywho, we just cracked up at that.  I just wish everyone could recognize how important and really amazing this message that we have is!  It just blows my mind, that we have the most true and perfect gospel and book on the WHOLE EARTH, and we are offering it to people for FREE and still people wont accept.  All the times I am rejected I just think of our Savior.  I just feel so lucky and just am reminded everyday. I cannot let myself ever forget these feelings and experiences that I am having out here.

Sorry this is kind of all over the place, but I am just so happy and so grateful for the people that have been placed in my path in the seven months that I have been out here. We are currently working with the sweetest people, and I just cannot believe God has entrusted ME.
I can hardly even wait to watch conference this weekend. It will be the best!

Hope you all enjoy it and your week too!

Thanks for all the support and love! I am the luckiest gal in the world

Week of miracles and the usual strange Florida things

Hello my little lovers! Wow I just love getting everyones updates and hearing how all of you are doing! It just makes me so happy and reminds me of how blessed I am!  Then freaks me out a little at the same time, thinking about like real life again, and like having to be human lol. BARF.  So lucky me I still got plenty of time out here in the mission (: But its just flying by!  I NEED TIME TO STOP!  Especially since I got with Sister Bingham.  We are just the same person, so we are just having to much fun and loving every second.

Well this week was super special. Lots of good things happening. God really has some amazing plans coming up for us here in West Palm, we can feel it.

Just the quick little update:

-Definitely saw a full blown drug bust first hand.  Saw the cops sniff the bags and everything and then cuff the guy. I felt like I was back down in Miami. Loved it. lol\

-Knocked into a Jehovah Witness who literally went off forever and is like a duck dynasty guy, who apparently makes duck call whistles? Ya. Well he pretty much preached about that more than anything.  How God has given him this amazing invention to create, and how he is the only one in the world that has this.  Hahah, I'm just standing there like, "dude, have you ever watched duck dynasty or gone to Cabellas?"  Hate to burst your bubble sir but pretty sure the world has seen the duck whistle key chain thing.  But after like 20 minutes of him trying to sell one to us, he ended up giving us both one.   Hello kitty themed.  #blessings. Thank you PETER !!! lol  I can now go call all my ducks

-Was just eating at beloved Panera Bread one night, and this cute little Peruvian approaches us, and with all the English she could muster, is trying to say that she was baptized when she was like 17, and she just moved here and she wants to know where our church is so she can come back.  We quickly replied in espanol and she just died.  Hahah!  She couldn't believe we could speak Spanish, and she knew it was just a miracle that she saw us. I know it was too! We gave her all the information and even got hers so that we can go visit her and teach the rest of her family (: Just cool little miracles like that kept happening. Less active part member families for daysssss.

-We had zone conference this past week which was INCREDIBLE.  I am pretty sure it was JUST for me. Everything that we talked about were things that I had been studying and praying about.  It was just another little reminder to me of how aware God is!  We also got to watch the new Easter video that the church has made, the Prince of Peace, which we get to start sharing here in like a week. (:(:(:  Wow, can I just say how amazing the Church is.  Those videos kill me. I can't wait to share it and TELL THE WHOLE WORLD that CHRIST LIVES.  Well we always end our conferences singing "We'll bring the world his truth" all linked arm in arm.  It is always the most powerful thing, but for some reason this past week it just hit me so hard.  The Spirit was so strong as we sang the changed line, "We are NOW the Lords missionaries, to BRING THE WORLD HIS TRUTH."  I just couldn't hold back the tears, especially after I looked up at President and Sister Richardson who had tear filled eyes. I just am so overwhelmed with happiness out here, and the fact that I am a missionary. I feel so lucky to be trusted enough, and to have the opportunity to be here, and just serving in this mission, the mission that is PERFECT for me.

I heard a quote this week, "We were the FIRST to stand, and the LAST to be sent" and I just loved it. I know that we are all here right now for a reason. Life is so stinkin hard, but God knew how strong each one of us were, and that is why we were saved.  God needs warriors on his side.  But, there are times that not all of us can be as strong as we always are.  There are people who need US TODAY.  So go out and be a strong one for someone else, because someone has been a strong one for you. How terrible the world is getting.  It freaks me out everyday.  But how blessed we are to have the fullness of the gospel, and get to have all the blessings of Christ's church.  We are the luckiest and safest people on the planet.  Don't ever forget that.

Well excited to keep working hard this week! CAN'T STOP WON'T STOP! (:

Have the best week and dont ever forget how much I love you all!

BESITOS (kisses)

ps Happy late St. Pats day? Weird.  Fun when you go a whole day and don't even realize its a holiday (:

Just a little slack shopping.  Had to go out and find some more good ol' pants.  I only bought a few at the beginning as I think I thought ,"Oh they will definitely change it back."  But its startin to sink in, ya know after a good 6 months, that I think the bugs and the slacks are here to stay. yahoooooo

Zone conference.  We are doing another HUNT FOR 100 this upcoming April in our misison. 100 BAPTISMS for April.  We have got Easter and Conference to give us that little extra spirit that we need, and WE ARE GONNA DO IT!  The whole mission is so pumped! We all even signed a big ol flag as kind of our title of liberty!

More at zone conference.

Mah girl and I

We love trailer parks!

Literally the bestest sunsets here EVERRRRRRR!  I die every night !

Dying! our cute little Relief Society had an activity to celebrate the founding of the Relief Society.  So they all went to a park and had music and food and dressed up in pioneer stuff.  If this was in Utah this totally would have been so chill and so normal, but the fact that it was here was just SO FUNNY.  Sister Bingham and I could not stop laughing.   Literally everyone that walked or drove by was just like what in the actual heck is going on and then I couldn't stop laughing cuz like just look at how freaking cute they are.  Just the cutest little latino pioneers you ever did see!! (:

ST PATS DAY SWAG! thanks mama (: you da best

And Peter's duck whistles. THANK YOU SIR!

Trumps Cookies?

Hello Goons,

What a fab week my gal Sister Bingham and I have had. (:  So we haven't even been together for two weeks, and we have officially decided that we are the same person.  It is kind of gross.  We think the same.  We learn the same.  We like all the same things.  So basically GOD IS REAL.  Haha, that is all I can say.  The best mama daughter duo you ever did see.  No but for real.  I cannot believe that she has only been out for two weeks because she is just the best little missionary.  There will be times when we are in a lesson or talking with someone and I'll look at her like to say something, and I forget she still has no idea what’s going on in the Spanish world.  She will just stare at me like "dude haha what?  I don't know what’s going on."  That’s how good she is. I forget!  She’s so amazing, I am learning from her everyday.

Well not only did we conquer another week, but we conquered it with CLASSSSS!  (: just a few highlights from the week include getting our good ol’ car broken into. Literally, like right in front of our house. LIKE WHAT? People c’mon.  Each day I am just reminded that I am no longer in Utah anymore.  We walked out to our car and everything was just taken out and scattered and thrown everywhere. But nothing was stolen!  So that was a blessed miracle.  Not even my cute fancy little GPS lol!  I was so shocked, like "why didn't they take this?" And then I remembered that everyone that isn't a missionary, actually has like smart phones with real GPSs and then I was like, okay yes makes sense. (:

We received cookies from Trump’s house.  Yes that is correct.  I officially ate cookies from our President’s home, my claim to fame.  Hahah, we have a member in our ward whose best friend is a chef for Trump and is always getting to take food home.  So therefore, us being the missionaries, and getting all the left overs from the ward, received the cookies.  Holler.

Sister Bingham and I visited a less active this week and during the prayer we offered, she fell asleep. yep. (:(:(:

Our INVESTIGATOR’S baby got blessed yesterday?  What? SICK!!  Okay, but now she needs to get baptized.  We’re working on it!

WELL LAST BUT NOT LEAST............ WE HAD SAFIRA AND BELLAS BAPTISM YESTERDAY!  They are the sweetest little part member less active family that we have been working with.  That a lot of missionaries have worked with.  This family has lots of struggles, and has been long awaiting this baptism. The spirit was so special in the room yesterday.  These two sweet girls were the ones that went to their less active mom, and told her they wanted to be baptized. Children’s testimonies are so powerful and have the ability to change the world. I’m convinced of it.  It was such a special day and so happy they let Sister Bingham and I be apart of it.

Well this week was just great.  We saw so many miracles.  I have never seen the companionship of the Holy Ghost be more present in my life, than in this week. Not because He was helping me more, by all means no, but I feel like I have learned to recognize his voice so much better, and the miracles and blessings that come from listening.  This has been something that I have really been working on, because as all of you know, I don’t SHUT UP.  (:  And ya know, I have really just wanted to work on listening more and talking less.  God is so aware of our desires.

Well one quick quote I wanted to share for this week:

"This is thy work, and I am only the instrument. I am only the pencil, but you've got to do the writing.  You cannot do this your own way. Don’t even try. That’s part of the worry, you don’t have to do it, you can’t do it, you shouldn't do it.  Stop worrying that you have to do this.  This is God’s work, he will watch you. He will answer your prayers. He has legions of angels and teams of chariots to run to your aid this very hour. He WILL bless you. This is his work, but you have to do it his way.” - Jeffery R. Holland.

Obviously he is talking about missionary work in this, but this applies to ALL aspects of life. God truly does have a plan for each one of us.  And it is PERFECT.  I have no doubt about it.  And although sometimes it may be rocky, we don’t have to do it alone.  We need to do it his way.  And he will give us every tool and opportunity to do that. I am so grateful for that.

Thank you all the being the best. Literally. WHAT?  How am I so blessed?  I don’t even know.

Have the best week! Keep smiling!

xoxo
