Get a Belt on Son!

GOOBERS!!!!  Hello this beautiful sunny day! (:  I am sure you are just blazing over there, or wherever in the world you may be.  It is literally cooking here.  Think I’m gonna try to cook an egg outside one of these days legit.  Well I am pretty sure I say this every week, buttttt IT was another great one (:  Always full of its challenges, but it was great!  So many reasons to smile!  Here is the quick low down:

-Last P-day we drove to Miami and got to go to literally the heart of it, to straight up little Cuba.  I have never felt more not in the US in my life and I LOVED it!

-Got the cops called on me for the first time this week!!!!!  You just gotta love people.  We got kicked out...

-Brother Wilson decided that THIS week I should give my talk.  So I gave it yesterday, nothing like preparing two weeks in a row.

-Went over and taught a media referral, a big guy who requested a bible.  He definitely did not have a belt and was definitely wearing way to large of pants, like the low riding type.  As he was walking his pants definitely fell down to his ankles, and he definitely tripped and face planted it.  One of those moments where you want to just burst out laughing, but you feel bad, but you can’t help him up, but you want to?  Ya, just ya!  Hahahha!

-Had Zone Training, our last one with the Richardson’s, before they leave on Saturday!  It was the weirdest thing! So fun all being together though, and not having him freaking out that we need to hurry and leave after the training was over (: He actually didn't want us to leave. That man. Sure gonna miss having a dad like figure call me "Diamante" all the time.  The Conference was awesome. Sister Call gave her "dying testimony" (the testimony that all the missionaries who are going home this transfer give.  CRAZY!  I am so glad I am "killing" her though.  She is the least trunky missionary out there, haha!)  Well they had us Sisters bring the clothes that were left in our houses and stuff that we didn't want, and we did a big rotation exchange thing, and they did the same for the Elders, but with ties, cuz’ literally that is all they have to change up hahaha poor things.  It was a fun tradition that I think we are starting now (:  The training itself was all on speaking to everyone though, and the importance of giving every single person that opportunity to get a (as Sister Richardson says it) DANG GOOD CHANCE to hear the gospel.  I just got so fired up to go out and just give every second that I have.  We watched a talked from Elder Gary Stevenson from one of these last general conferences, and he talked about this woman who was an Olympic skeleton racer, and how she had worked her whole life preparing for these FOUR minutes of performing at the Olympics.  I have realized and decided that I AM IN MY FOUR MINUTES.  I have been preparing for this my whole life, way before I even came down to this earth, and I promised people that I would find them, and I would do all I can to help them, and for that I MUST GIVE IT MY ALL in MY FOUR MINUTES.  I have received this like new spark to go even harder than before and truly just try and be the best that I can be, with the Lord. Time is going too quick.

-With this training we got, we took it to heart and have just been OYMing and talking with seriously everyone and have seen the biggest blessings from it.  Yesterday in particular, Sister Call and I went to go try and visit someone and as we were getting out of the car, there was a man getting into his car across the street.  We decide to just go over and at least try and share a card with him.  We start talking to this dad named Darrell and taught him the Restoration, and he was just mind blown, HE LOVED IT.  He is seriously one of the most elect people that I have ever met.  He just couldn't stop talking about how this was true and how he wouldn't even wait until tonight to pray about it, he was going right into his truck to do so.  We are going back to teach him this week and I am so excited! Seriously everyone is on our path for a reason.  I am so glad we didn't just let this one soul go by us. THANK YOU DARRELL!  Hahaha, just his name kills me.  He’s so sick.

Well that’s really about it for this week. Sorry it’s kind of all over the place.  I hope you are all doing great!  I love you all so much!  I wish there was words to describe it!  Thanks for everything!  Pray for you all everyday! I am so blessed.

XOXOXOX

YIP SKIP MANGOS

YIP SKIP another week down?  WHAT IS GOING ON?  How are ya my cute little family?(: HAPPY FATHERS DAY ALL MY CUTE LITTLE MALES I LOVE  YOU

I hope you had a great week.  Florida has just been treating Sister Call and I good.  We are happy as ever and just working our little booties off, despite the lack of success we may be seeing.  This week was definitely one of the hardest weeks of my mission though.  I know that we are just really being tested for our faith right now, because an OBESE miracle is just around the corner (:  I can feel it!
BUTTTTT this week was just a testimony to the start of these obese miracles coming, because this week was PRETTY MUCH THE START OF THE MANGO GIVE AWAY. (: (: (:  Literally every single house has a giant mango tree, and y’all know my love for mangos before?  It has just escalated out of control here.  It is a problem but at the same time A BLESSING.  Because I am asking, and we are getting handed mangos left and right (: , we are sharing prayers and the gospel and these Floridians are sharing their mangos.  It’s just a good trade off (:  This week this cute woman we taught also had a Bahamas’ cherry tree in her backyard, so we got to pick some of those and try them out too:)  Gotta love this tropical place, fruit for days.

Well a few of the fav highlights from the week:

-I felt like a little greenie again on Sunday.  Just like the first day in the mission.  This sweet little Haitian woman walks into church and doesn't speak a lick of English, only Creole, and I just felt so helpless.   Hahaha, I literally mustered the few Creole random phrases that I have picked up, and then just decided to call the Creole Elders and have them talk to her. Thank heavens for the gift of tongues.

-Saturday morning I was asked to speak in church the next day, Fathers day. I was like what?  Hahah, what human wants to hear a missionary speak on Fathers day?   But I went for it.  And then get to church, and they ended up not even needing me.  So basically dad I wrote you a really fat shout out (: but never got to share it.  So just know that I hope you had a splendid day tho (: and felt super duper special because I LOVE YOU and am so grateful for you!  I know the lord had me write it so that I could just reflect on all the wonderful dads in my life and how grateful I am, so therefore blessings.

-Super cool experience tho this week.  Sister Call and I went up to Pines area, and did a knocking session with the Sisters in that area and with their whole district, to help them get their area going with a little fire as they are struggling a little (: We got up there, and as we were walking away from our cars to get started, there was a man walking down the street.  I go up to him and start talking and hand him a card of Jesus Christ.  One thing led to another and an hour later, we taught the Restoration, we prayed, and we just took him right inside the chapel and gave him a tour, since we were right outside!!!!!  He accepted baptism and all!!!!!  MILAGROSSSS!!!  It was just the coolest OYM ever!!!! God truly does just put people in your path, and all we need to do is just open our mouths!  People are ready to hear this beautiful message that we have.  Found little Danny for the sisters in their area! NOW THEY JUST NEED TO GO BAPTIZE HIM.

-Well absolute favorite part of the week hands down, was on Saturday.  WE GOT TO GO TO THE TEMPLE this week to do baptisms for the dead with Sister Call’s recent convert Monica.  We have been working with her the past few weeks on her family history and she was able to take her own names to the temple and do them, and I WAS ABLE TO TAKE MY FIRST NAME TO THE TEMPLE AS WELL.  It was the most special experience ever.  I nearly cried just driving on the temple property. 10 months is way too long.  I am so happy they changed that rule, so that we at least have the chance to go do baptisms.  It was a day I will never forget.  The number of ward members that were there to support her was amazing.  Most of the temple workers were Spanish speaking and it was just so cool to hear the baptisms being done in Spanish as well.  And you know you are not in Utah anymore, when you do 30+ baptisms. I just loved it.  Anywho, Monica is amazing, and becoming like my best friend.  She is thee biggest example to me and I just fee so lucky I could be part of that special day with her.  She is becoming the strongest member ever.

Well just a quick quote I want to share for the week:

"If we give our heart to God, if we love the Lord Jesus Christ, if we do the best we can to live the gospel, then tomorrow and ever other day, is ultimately going to be magnificent, even if we don’t always recognize it as such. Why? Because our Heavenly Father wants it to be! So keep loving, keep trying, keep trusting, keep believing. Keep growing. Heaven is cheering our on today, tomorrow, and forever."

Elder Holland just kills me. What a man. This really resonated with me this week, and I hope that it helps one of you as much as it did me! KEEP GOING! I love you all and hope you have the best week!
